TEDxBalajiITS is the wonderful platform where eminent speakers from all over India from different sectors are gathering in the historical city of Warangal. In building a better tomorrow together. The TEDxBalajiITS talks will help in creation of healthy community. Get ready to sail on the journey to the “Open Horizon” passing through uncharted territories. Its really great opportunity in my career thanks to balajiITS for inviting me as a one among the Ted-speaker across the globe.

its really great moment in my life to share idea in globaly organized forum (TEDx) I Love Robot’s But Afraid Of People this is because nowadays people are getting fear about robot. Due to industrial society all are becoming into an automation (AI), so people are thinking such innovation would replace human being but when we use in right path it can help our society. , but such inventions can act as a tool to bring equity in several areas like education, entertainment and so on. I believe in all aspects. It will be a great discovery and joy in such experimentation. A robot is nothing but it’s just what we do I think Age is just a number.

Swarit finds a problem in his life to feed his fish, then he got an idea of doing an automatic fish feeder to help this society.

When you talk to the young person instead of asking them what they wanted to do on when they grow up. Ask them what they want to do now. ask them the real-life problem they are solving. Ask them their vision for a better world and ask them what they do to change this world. so, we need to empower our new generation to go faster than any generation ever has.

Mahabarath Tales – Aviyal

Bheema is quite a famous and bubbly character. Thousands of years had passed still his strength, hunger, skill and cooking skills are well-known even with today’s children.

Bheema grew with eternal hunger for food and strength. The kowravas and Pandavas grew with a sense of enmity towards each other, of course it was mostly from the Kowravas side the initiation of hatred happened but still like fire it got both the sides. Dhuryodhana, was in person always agitated even with the thought of Bheema and Arjuna. Bheema was, in particular, poking fun at Kowravas all the time verbally and physically, entire Hastinapur kingdom was gossiping these stories.

Saguni, gave an idea to Dhuryodhana, he told him if you can’t win them in a straight fight then fake friendship and strike them out cunningly. The advice was taken and Pandavas were lured with gifts constantly and goodwill was created. Just Sakadeva one of the five brothers was suspicious of this sudden friendship and stayed away in a subtle way. Bheema was showered with gifts of food, he ate and ate and became bigger and bigger. His body grew so did the friendship.

One day a picnic was arranged for Pandavas near a river. Dhuryodhana played host to this picnic and served food by his hands to them. Bheema was served food laced with poison and when the other four brothers went swimming in the river Bheema feel unconscious as the poison started to work. Dhuryodhana saw this and tied his body and put him in the river which was filled with snakes. The snakes bite Bheema multiple times. A double negative is positive; and so is venom, suddenly the snake’s venom became a lifesaver to Bheema and slowly he began to get detoxified(Edward Jenner effect).  Naga the king of snakes saw this and understood its son of Vayu who is here and he welcomed him to the Nagloga. As a symbol of love, the Nagas gave their Princess get married to Bheema (later bore him a son Bilalsen) and gave him  Navapasana(combination of various venoms and herbs) to consume, which made him resistant of any kind of poison for rest of his life.

Meanwhile, in Hastinapur,  Bheema was reported missing, it was almost 10 days and they prepared rituals to pacify the soul of him. When the entire country was in mourning mood food was in preparation and there came Bheema roaring into the courtyard. Entire kingdom celebrated it with joy other than the Kowrawas group. Bheema never disclosed the real story. Bhishma welcomed him with tears and asked him what do you want, Bheema in a serious tone said “food !”. as the celebration started even the cooks joined it and the work of cooking was stopped and they said they would finish preparation in a few hours. Bheema was in no mood to wait. He just went to the kitchen and saw the vegetables of many kinds cut, coconut grated, tamarind pulp soaked and a few masala items. He combined them all and boiled them and made a new dish, which now famously called Aviyal. In our Ayurveda we do not add a few food items with each other, like ghee and honey when consumed together, so is gingelly oil and wheat, fish and curd and many more like this are toxic in different proportions so we avoid this. Aviayl is one dish we made a little compromise in memory of Bheema. Let’s eat and celebrate this article with some hot Aviyal.

Bike Rally – 2019 To create awareness of safe driving and to donate books to school students.

February 14, is famous for a celebration of a certain emotion, here in SNS we wanted to create a new meaning for it. First, ever Biker Rally of SNS was organized on Feb 14 by SCD Department. The Rally was conducted for two reasons

  • To donate books to Govt School Students
  • To promote safe driving skills by following Traffic Rules.

Radio Jockey Mr.Guru and our SNSCE Principal flagged off the Rally. Bike enthusiastic were fully geared up for the event. Several kinds of bikes made the event colorful – Royal Enfield, Pulsar, Dominar, Yamaha and many more. As a surprise entry, Ms. Daffodil made all eyes dazzle with her Kawasaki Ninja- SuperBike. The journey started from SNS College of Engineering and moved into interior rural parts of  Gobichettipalayam. The lush greenery of the place simply took us over. We made our first stop in a Temple for our breakfast; Ms. Sumathi HOD/SCD made arrangements for was simple and superb a breakfast

Books were collected by our college students. We had over a thousands of book collected. We had a warm reception in every school we visited. It was almost the first time these school students saw such a big group of bikers on their school campus. The school students were a combo of shy and curiosity when dealing with us, they enquired about us and our bike ride.

I feel happy and honored to participate in the Bike rally, to create awareness of using Helmet and to donate the books to Government School It was an awesome experience to meet and interact with so many children in school.

S.Gokul Krishanan.

Mechanical Department (I year)

The temperature was rising and so did Bikers geared it up. We had our lunch in Kodiveri Dam, quite a scenic place to eat and relax in between our ride. Again the journey continued and we donated our books to the remaining schools. Staff and Students riding along was a new experience. Wherever we stopped for a break or whatever reason, everyone would surround us because all the bikes, an Innova car, an ambulance in the back was our team so people were puzzled and surprised seeing us as if something had happened or an accident, we answered them with a big smile and explained our initiative which was well received.

End of the day, we all reached Coimbatore safe sound and satisfied. A few things that would stand out in this journey was the way the school students and staff received us, next was the way the Bikers rode with discipline; in particular woman Bikers who took the long day with ease. One more surprise is there which you will read in the next article.

Book – The One Minute Manager

Author: Kenneth Blanchard & Spencer Johnson

Genre: Motivational/ Self help/ /Business

No. of pages: 112

Publisher: William morrow & co    Publication Year: 1982

Rating: 3.9/5 in good reads    94% Google users liked this book

The essence of,The One Minute Manager is based on the concept of: “People who feel good about themselves produce results.” I shall share some of my insights about the book; of course you can go ahead and read yourself for a firsthand experience.

The One Minute Manager by Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson is truly an incredible book and a total must for any business owner who works with a team or with a group of people. The book is about a bright young man who was looking for an effective manager because he wanted to become one. He had been in small towns and in the capitals of powerful nations in search of an effective manager. Then he finally meets a manager who is both autocratic and democratic and the story begins.

‘if you’re going to take out a long term car loan, don’t buy a short term car” is one of my favorite line in the book.

This book has contributed as a motivational factor to  many well-known businesses and organizations around the world, including Apple, Chevron, AT&T, Wal-Mart, Holiday Inns, Hewlett-Packard, Pepsi-Cola, KFC, Harvard University, US Army, Navy & Air Force.  If this little book has contributed to the successes of all these amazing organizations, then something is up.  I wanted to find out what that is, so I decided to read the book.

The book is a story of a young Man who is seeking out the One Minute Manager to learn his secrets of being an effective manager.  As it turns out, his management style comes down to three solid principles:

  1. One Minute Goal Setting 2. One Minute Praising 3. One Minute Reprimand   Sequels: This book was followed by a sequel, Leadership and the One Minute Manager, by Ken Blanchard, Patricia Zigarmi and Drea Zigarmi, which laid out Blanchard’s Situational Leadership II concept

Sathsang with 99 year young Padama Shri Nanammal – Hata Yogini

IMG_20171008_080429

Yoga is the source and essence of our culture, has its roots and flowers in every one of us in various dimensions. Yoga Patti Nanammal is a classic example of this profound wisdom; 99 year young Yoga Practitioner and Teacher.

Ms Savitha her granddaughter is our SNS, ECE, Student. This made our interview appointment very easy. With students when we discussed upon interview questions, mode various questions came and one common feature we all wondered was how she is able to perform yoga consistently at this age. With this wonderment and excitement, we approached the Ozone Yoga Center. We had a pleasant greeting from the family, then Yoga Patti came in to the room, her face was glowing with grace, draped in a simple sari with vibuthi in her forehead, she had no shake in her bodily movement. We thought of an interview in our mind initially but when she started to speak it became Sathsang.

Background and Early life

Yoga Patti, is an extremely healthy person, her voice is cool but clear, never she had used any glasses to read, she can thread a needle in no time, she has a photographic memory never misses a minute detail of events and ever stepped into a hospital for treatment. Till this day she practices yoga asanas, meditation, and pranayama, without a single day break. Born in 1920 in British Era in a family Zammen Kalaiyapuram she moved to Ganapathi after marriage, She learned yoga from her very young age from her Grandfather, Mr.Mannarswamy. She was a master in martial arts, she won first prize in District level Silambattam Contest when she was 14 years young.  She got married to a Siddha Medicine Practitioner. Her Mother-in-law felt strange-looking at the yogic practices of Nanammal. One day her Mother-in-law had a hamstring and now yogic practices of Nannamal came handy which healed the injury and from that day the entire family practiced yoga.

Life Style

She gets up very early, uses neem stick for brushing and starts doing her yogic practices, she does all her work by herself. Her food consists of mostly millets, vegetables and Sanjeevini(traditional organic multigrain porridge). She does not touch sugar or any artificial flavors’, consumes only honey and jaggery. She says in her time everyone in the village knew silambatam, kabadi, swimming and had millets as chief food. She made an interesting observation about pranamam(breathing yogic practice)said that helped people to play kabadi well, play Nadaswaram with a deep breath and take deep dives into the water.

Family

She has 6 Children and 12 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grand Children, all of these pregnancies are natural deliveries and we happened to meet some of them(of course Ms. Savitha is a national level Yoga winner), all of them are performing yoga and follows an organic diet. The kids are given Kadalamittai, elurundai, and other natural sweets/snacks. It was an amazing picture to see grandmother, son, and grandson performing yoga together.

Mission and Work

She teaches Yoga to this day and has also created Yoga Teachers globally. Her mission is to spread yoga as a culture which should be taught within a family. Her son Mr.V.Balakrishana is now actively practicing and teaching Yoga in their Ozone yoga center since 1971 Her house is filled with herbal plants and students who come to learn yoga.

Most of the students were girls there; she spoke in detail of women health. In particular Pregnancy can be a simple and painless process if women can blend their yogic practices with proper diet. In pranayam we hold our breath in various forms and push it fast out, which is the key for natural pregnancy. All her family members stand as an embodiment of health. She spoke in detail of herbs and there uses, she said many Europe countries may be clean with lush green but only our country/culture has a plethora of herbs and know secrets of its usages.

Awards and reorganizations

She is invited to almost all countries and associations of the world. She is quite shy to speak of all these awards she has got, with a smile says” I accept these awards as a love of people and it would also spread awareness of yoga”. While receiving Nari Punskar, Priminister Modi was impressed by her and honored her with a separate private dinner.

She had received hundreds and thousands of awards, just a few to mention.

Message – She is a woman who had seen almost a Century. Time slipped away the Sathsang was coming to its closure, I did a namaskaram and touched her feet, she firmly got my hands looked into my eyes and said, ”Son, what you want my blessing? Just do yoga, my blessing is always there for you’.
