In the first round, students were asked to connect the dots. Students assumed a linear way of doing it. There wasn’t any measurable output because just connecting dots didn’t mean a relationship with the outcome. In order to enhance the experience an thought was assumed – Newton and Einstein might have respected others work but questioned to create a new theory.
Students were pushed to understand that often such questioning leads to a creative work that would lead to invention. Then we re-worked it make the exercise a meaningful one by creating an art by connecting dots. Students under went different experience (smile, laughter, self doubt on a new patten) in the second attempt.
